untitled

This book was written as a fiction and should be read as such.

I read this book, found the characters and plot thin and yet still found it "un-put- downable". Why? Because it causes the reader to think, they wonder could this be real? Is there some sordid secret out there that destroys everything we thought and believed, even the non-believers?

It is a fast paced thriller, which does as it was designed to do, entertain. The reader is kept enthralled wondering what will happen next, even though it is quite predictable and the reader usually concludes the answer to the simplistic riddles before the lead characters, the reader can't help but keep reading if just to find out how long it takes the characters to figure it out. It does what it was designed to do sell, entertain and make money.

Anyone who truly thinks this "is" has obviously not done the research to understand it is FICTION. It is possible but it is not real.

Many sites refuting this book list only the minor mistakes which have no relevance to the actual statement that this book is fact, they are small mistakes being used to discredite the writer and the book rather then prove it is wrong.

The fact that the first page has fact and then what the writer considers to be fact has no impact on whether the story itself is fact. It is saying that what is underneath the "fact" heading is true.

Anyone who is truly interested in this "conspiracy" should check out "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", this is basically the Da Vinci Code only not in the form of a novel and classed as non-fiction. Is supposedly well researched and is the first of its kind.

And lets be honest; would it have been half as popular if the church hadn't kicked up a fuss?

" If you want humourless, know-it-all men, unbelievable plots, convoluted and often contradictory stories- men living in whales, a jealous God who had favourites and then through the ages punished them- read the Bible. Like The Da Vinci Code, it isn't really believable but it's a bloody good read!"

I can only hope the problems with this page have been fixed. If not well...
